open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi everyone,
I try to simulate tide in Olango Island.
I used TPXO 7.2 for inputdata.
But the result is not true. It did not look likely tidal.
I also attached files below.

What are the reasons which allows you to say your result didn't look likely tidal?
Maybe you could illustrate this with an image.

I see in your steering file that your simulation duration is 13h.
Maybet this is not sufficient to have correct results even if you start from tpxo initial condition?

Thanks for help quickly!
I attached some photos of Free surface in result.
File 0.jpg is start, 1m is 1 minute, 15 is 15 minutes, 30m is 30 minutes. After that, surface did not change much.
Actually, I simulate 13 hours but in this period, I have one lowest tide at 6th hour and one hightes tide at 12th hour following real time.
But the result showed that water changed very fast in the first 30 minutes and became stable after that time.
I don't know where is error.

What is the color scale?

The interval is 1m.
The red is the hightest.

Are you sure of the values in your model?
Your result shows that the initial condition of the spatial variation of the free surface is important!
If you compare with your geometry file, you've got a free surface at 5m in all the nodes where the bottom is lower than 0 and probably no water on the other place even the highest bottom level is 3!
I suspect an altimetric error !

With such conditions (initial water level and your DEM) the result looks like "logical" the water level at the boundary which is consistent with the initial water level tend to fully fill your model.

You have those keywords in your steering file
INITIAL CONDITIONS ='TPXO SATELLITE ALTIMETRY'
COEFFICIENT TO CALIBRATE TIDAL RANGE =5
COEFFICIENT TO CALIBRATE SEA LEVEL =5.56

I advise you to read carefully the manuals in the parts which deals with TPXO.

I changed coefficients but the problem still happend.
When I changed coefficients the surface lelel changing but it still run in the first 30 minutes and no different in the next period.
I check velocity and velocity also has the same problems.
