open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Dear all,


I found an error on the result files on the Parallel computation. I use 8 process to calculate it.

I set the computation time on xx.cas file is longer than the xx.liq

However, when I finished the calculation, I found the result is like following.





I want to put these 8 results on on file. is it anybody know how to do it in linux system ?

You could use the option --merge of telemac2d
otherwise, manually you could run gretel

you run the telemac2d.py --merge cas... and it doesn't work?
strange!

gretel is the re-collection program.
You could find it in your installation (in the binaries of the parallel configuration)
From the temporary directory, tun gretel and follow instructions...

I first go to the file location. and run 'telemac2d.py --merge T2d_chinariver.cas' T2d_chinariver.cas is the t2d file name.

but it is turn out like following.

For the --merge solution, you should be located at the same level of directory where you ran telemac.

you should run it from China-sis directory
The command will be telemac2d.py -w T2d_chinariver.cas_2015-08-20-12h27min35s --merge T2d_chinariver.cas

Dear all,

Just to avoid a misunderstanding you should know that this is not the usual way in parallel. Normally this is done automatically and you get the results file with the global mesh, not in pieces like this. I suspect that in your case there is an error before merging, that would be the reason why it is not done.

I know the reason on this, This is due to the time in xx.cas file is large than the xx.liq files. and it is also maybe due to running in linux system. I also run it in windows. this problem has been avoided.
