Hello all

Best wishes for new year :cheer:

I came across post #17894 where Jean-Michel suggests to check "SUBMIT" part for "BINARY DATA FILE 1". It is in default
SUBMIT = 'T2DBI1-READ-24;T2DBI1;FACUL;BIN;LIT;SELAFIN'
and for my purpose i have to change it to
SUBMIT = 'NBI1-READ-24;T2DBI1;FACUL;BIN;LIT;PARAL' .

my question is, is there a way to do this change from within the code without changing it in telemac2d.dico?

further on the same line, what about 'BINARY FILE 1 BINARY' in tomawac.dico. there 'submit' is not given a default value.

i hope my question is clear. :blush:

thanks for any help in advance

regards,
Homayoon

Hello,

Hum, I am not sure this can be done simply, we could change in the Fortran where the string is decoded, but these strings are also used by the Python or Perl scripts...

BINARY FILE 1 BINARY is a keyword (probably obsolete) to tell what kind of binary filie is BINARY FILE 1, so it does not need a string SUBMIT.

With best regards, and happy new year... very soon...

Hello,

Happy new year indeed.

A possible way would be to allow a local user DICO files with only the keywords you wish to add or change. We do not recommend you change the default dico file.

This is an interesting idea and could be all done within the python scripts, where the local user dico would be appended at the end of the default dico (or the changed blocks replacing the old ones).

We will consider it in our future developments.

Sébastien.
