Hi all

I'm running the latest stable version v7p1r0 and am setting up a spherical coordinate run. Previously I used corrxy.f and readgeo3.f to convert coordinates but I could not find readgeo3.f in source/utils/bief (although it does exist in v7p0).

I think some changes have been made in v7p1r0 and this step is not necessary now, the code will run with latutude and longitudes supplied in the mesh.

Are there any details for how to set the steering file keywords or subroutines for a spherical coordinate run.

Thanks
John

Ah...just found the new features page for v7p1!!
Thinks this has what I need but if anyone can confirm I'd appreciate it.

Hello,

Yes, you just have to set :

SPATIAL PROJECTION TYPE : 3

if the mesh has longitudes and latitudes. It is now done much more precisely, though there is problably still theoretical work to do if we want applications at Earth scale, even if it already works as could show HR-Wallingford in our last user club.
