The model start running and then the below message appear

Running your simulation(s):

I dont see any update of files in the temporary folder after a long time.

Any suggestion or document to check ?

Hi,

would you be running on windows by any chance ?
Try to run the following command in your temporary folder:
mpirun -n4 Name_of_your_exe
Replacing Name_of_your_exe by the name of the executable in the folder should be something like out_....

Hope it helps.

Thanks.
I noticed that once I run mpiexec first time, the telemac2d.py works well later without rerunning mpiexec.

I was trying to post-process the result file after parallel run with Blue Kenue. It creates the follwong error message:

This appears to bea byte swapped file.
While reading element data.
ERROR: Unknown or Invalid file format
While reading 2d mesh geometry
ERROR: Unknown or Invalid file format

Any explanation for that?
Thanks for responding.

Hi Riadh,

Thanks for your response.

I dont have this error for serial run, and parallel runs where result file size is smaller. It was ok for 3 GB result file in parallel run. The result file size was 4+ GB when the simulation time was doubled. I expected the result file to be 6 GB.
When I tried to open the result file (4+ GB) after normal run completion, I find the error message as I described in previous email.
Have not tried serial run which create result file larger than 3 GB.

Shan

Hello Shan

Is it a problem of memory or of space disk ?
If for smaller result files there were no problems and the troubles appeared for biggeer files, it could be that there was no space to write graphic outputs in the result file (which generated a truncated file that BK could not recognize) or that there were no enough memory (RAM) to handle huge files

Try first to increase graphical output period to see if this will solve the problem or not

with my best regards

Riadh
