hi
I am a new user of Telemac-2d. I have set all the boundary conditions in Bluekenue. But still I cant set the option of inlet as well as outlet (boundaries). Plz let me know the options to set inlet and outlet so that I can get the desired direction of velocity of my mesh domain.

Hello,

Please refer to the user manual or inspire from the files of a simple example like e.g. "bumpflu" which has an inlet on the left, an exit on the right, and a flow from left to right.

With best regards,

JMH

My reach is about 55 km long. I have set two boundary conditions--(1. Liquid with prescribed elevation; Option for liquid boundaries:1; Free surface: Constant: 300 and 2. Liquid with prescribed elevation; Option for liquid boundaries:1; Free surface: Constant: 0). So I get inlet as well as outlet boundaries. I set total time 10 mins. But after successful running of Telemac2d, when I have opened the result file in Bluekenue, I see the velocity vectors at the inlet and outlet boundaries. Inside the whole reach domain, I cant see any velocity vectors. Plz let me know the exact steps to get a proper flow from inlet to outlet. I have tried the best, but I cant.

Hello,

Are you setting only free surface elevations? Don't you have some discharge upstream? Classical boundary conditions are discharge imposed and elevation free at the entrance, elevation imposed at the exit. You should also decide what kind of initial condition you choose. As your domain is long, a constant depth would probably be better to start with.
