Hi,

I'm modelling in Linux a river flow in Telemac-2D with 80 cores in a cluster and the final merging failed, but I still have the 80 parts of the modell. I can visualized one by one in BlueKenue but it is exhausting.
Which is the command line to merge the 80 parts RT2D-000x?

Thanks,

Gonzalo

Hi,

The command is:
<root>/builds/<config>/bin/gretel < gretel_T2DRES.par

Where <root> is the path to your installation <config> is the name of your configuration in the systel.cfg file.

In the temporary folder you should find a file gretel_T2DRES.par which contains the argument to give to gretel. If you do not have this file just run without < gretel_T2DRES.par and gretel will ask you the argument.
The result file is the name of RT2D-000 without the 000-000.

Hope it helps

Hello
you can use gretel executable that you can find in folder V7P1/builds/.../bin
The question is why the merge has failed before, i'm wondering if there are some issues with your files or maybe that there is no enough memory to gather huge result files.

I hope that this helps

with my best regards

Thank you both for your quick response.

Riadh, you are right, he crash was a problem of memory.

Yugi, I used the command line you suggest me but this error appears:

ERREUR -1 LORS DE L APPEL A GET_DATA_VALUE_SRF:READ
TEXTE DE L'ERROR : UNKONWN ERROR

PLANTE: PROGRAM STOPPED AFTER AN ERROR
RETURNING EXIT CODE: 2
STOP 1

What could be the problem?

I run the same model just a few seconds to see if everything is ok:
It runs well, but when I open the result file in BlueKenue the following error occurs:

This appears to be a byte swapped file.
While reading element data.
ERROR: Unknown or Invalid file format:
While reading 2D Mesh Geometry.
ERROR: Unknown or Invalid file format:

I run again te same model, and open the result file in BlueKenue. It was ok.

It's strange.

Thanks,

Gonzalo

So this is a bug in Gretel.
The solution has already been found.
It will be solved in 7.1.1 that should be realeased soon.

A temporary solution would be to use the gretel from an older version of telemac.
