open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

I have installed Telemac V7p1 on Windows 8 and everything seemed alright during the compilation.
I launch an old model witch is running properly with the V6p2 version installed on an other computer.
This time the simulation just started but didn't end.

I don't have any idea where this problem coud come from. Could it come from the configuration file? By the way, what is the difference between the wing64mpi folder and the wingforp? Are both of them used on parallel simulation?

Hereby the cfg file and what appear on the DOS command.

As it seems you're running in parallel, if the output looks fix, this is probably because mpi waiting for some additionnal informations like login/password...
Try to run the model first in scalar or try to run manually the mpiexec command in the temp directory

Are these informations a login and password? And what to do with them?

As you proposed, I tried then to rerun the model in scalar mode and it work's. Surprisingly, the DOS Windows close directly after the end of the simulation. Is it normal with this new version?
In fact, it works for 0 and 1 processor. When I tried with 2 and more, the DOS window desappear as quickly as it appear after launching the simulation.

I would be greatful if you have any advise to solve this.

I finally sorted this out. But it wasn't so easy to find the solution on the forum.

I have seen an error on the installation page. The pytel file is replaced by python 27 on V7p1 version. So the path is not anymore c:\opentelemac\v7p1\pytel (that is true on older version) but C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v7p1\scripts\python27 as it's written there

And concerning the mpiexec problem on parallel mode, I recommand the post #15666 where the whole procedure is well explained. Perhaps should it be intersting to add these steps on the installation page for the whom who encounter this problem.
