open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Dear all,
I'm using Telemac2D, version v7p0. I would like to use Sub. flot.f for my float. I have two floats with initial different position. How I define this different in float.f (? argument) so that I see two different float when I use Tecplot software to visualize the result? Thank you very much for your help.

Here is a modified subroutine for adding algae floats whose coordinates are read from a text file:

The float file should be specified in the t2d cas file as FORMATTED DATA FILE 2. You also need to specify the number of floats in the CAS file (NUMBER OF DROGUES=2 in your case.

Thank you very much for your help. Unfortunately, the result file (file enclosed, Flotteurs.data) visualized by Tecplot software doesn't separate two path of two initial position different (result obtained from run the simulation as your request). So my question is how we defined the variable in fortran file plot.f so that Tecplot software recognize (two) path different? One more time, thank you so much for your comment.

Hello Thong,

I see nothing wrong with your float .dat file. You have 2 discrete coordinates that change with time. It looks like a visualization issue with tecplot. Did you follow the instructions in the paper "Adding a particle transport module to Telemac-2D with applications to algae blooms and oil spills", page 37?
