Hello,

I just tried activating the CHECKING THE MESH option in Telemac-2D under v7p1r1. Everything seems to work fine in scalar. But when I switch on the parallel mode with CHECKING THE MESH option enabled, the program crashes. I should say if CHECKING THE MESH option is disabled, the simulation works fine in parallel.

The hint in the listing is that node 1845 is a point that has two neighbours. When I inspect the global mesh near node 1845 I don't see the problem (attachment 1). But, when I display the partitioned mesh near node 1845 (attachment 2), I see the hint of the problem.

Does anyone know why the simulation halts in parallel under this case? I couldn't figure out the checkmesh.f subroutine to know why.

Thanks,

Pat

Hello Pat,

Glad to read from you.
This is clearly (most probably) a bug with the parallel mode. What is the crash error message? Can you send me the model to check it up?

with my best regards

Riadh
