Hello

Your model is really really ... really improvable. I believe that Telemac is really ... really ... really robust when it can generate a result file using your model.

These are main problems that need to be fixed before going further:
- you are using longitude/latitude in your mesh but you don't say that to Telemac, for telemac
- you boundary conditions are strange 4 6 6 immediatlely follong 5 6 6
- you are giving nothing as boundary condition
- your fortran file is useless
- you are starting with a cold state that need to be stabilized before gining further
- you are mis-introducing your tracer, it is simply not taken into account

You need to read the user manual to resolve these problems one by one.

Good luck

Riadh

HELLO, thank you for your reply
but could you explain to me what you mean by :
- you are using longitude/latitude in your mesh but you don't say that to Telemac, for telemac?
you mean that I shoud transfer the coordinates cartesien to lonng/latit from bluekenue or an other thing?
"you are mis-introducing your tracer, it is simply not taken into account"
please I don't have any idea about the right way to introduce this tracer!
could you explain to me how? (I read the manuel without taking from it any usefull idea )

tha last question is about the boundary conditions do you mean that I should change the nature of my boundary conditions??
thank you so mutch for your helps

Hi
I would add to Riadh advises that you will have a lot of example in the Telemac installation (all of them works!) so you could start by looking in those examples those which rely on the same subjects (tracer, ...)

Take in mind that some training courses exists which could help you to start to use Telemac in a good way. Spending 2 days in a training session is probably better than trying using Telemac during 3 months without any convincing results.
Look at support page

Christophe

Hello

- you do not need to transform coordinates, Telemac can do it for you look at this post

Everything is well explained in the manual. Try to focus on the part that you are interested in. There are a french version of the manual if you prefer French language.

kind regards

Riadh

hello,
firstly thank you for your help and at the end I found that the problem was from cordinates.
Now I have just one little problem ...
it-is normal if I imposed the value of my tracer at the source as 1 000 000 but I find in my result file by BlueKenue that the max value is 2500 without activating a law of degradation !?
I think that normaly I should get the value near from 1 000 000
think you

Hello,

Yes it is normal. The quantity of tracer brought by the source is averaged on the volume associated to the point and is influenced by the upstream flow (but the total quantity entered into the domain is correct). If you decrease the local mesh size or increase the discharge of the source you will see the increase of the concentration, but never to the prescribed value.

With best regards,

Jean-Michel Hervouet
