Hello,

I am working on a hydrosedimentary transport project with TELEMAC / SISYPHE and I have got a problem that I can not solve. I have five boundaries conditions, but there is only one border where sediments are injected. The problem is that part of these sediment does not move, making deposits ON THIS BORDER that can achieve 1,5 Km high... We do not have this problem in other places because other sediments can normally move . I have already tried to change the MPM coefficient in order to allow a better thrusting capacity, but deposits are still a problem. I have also tried to use the keyword “TREATMENT OF FLUXES AT THE BOUNDARIES” changing the value to 2 on that border, but nothing changed.

I was wondering if you could help me with that.

Thank you very much in advance
Lucas

Hello Lucas,
Did you check your velocity/shear velocity field there? Are the boundary conditions well imposed (cli file), as well as the hotstart file?

Hope it helps,

Pablo

Hi Pablo,

First of all, thanks for your answer!! Yes, I have already checked it. In fact, before doing the hydrosedimentary simulation, I did the hydraulic simulation using the same model. That simulation gave me the velocity field that now I am using as the previous computation file. So, I don't believe it could be the reason of my problem :/

Thank-you very much :)

OK

In your BC file, do you have something like that for the inflow boundary (see 8th column)?:

4 5 5 0.000 0.000 0.000 0.000 5 0.000 0.000 0.000 1 1

cheers

Pablo

Yes! The last two numbers are different (I think they are related to the node number), but the other ones are exactly the same. Do you think it could be related to our problem?
