Hello everybody,

I would like to impose a zero solid inflow discharge in Sisyphe in order to analyse the erozion of a river bed.
Which keywords should I use ? And what is the French translation of it ?

Thank you very much,
Cheers,

Bastien

Dear Bastien,

By default, Sisyphe has zero solids inflow imposed at inlets.
I advise you to take a deeper look at Sisyphe user manual (v7p3 the last one), how to impose inflow boundary conditions is indicated on chapter two (solid discharges inflow) and chapter three (suspended sediment inflow).

Nevertheless, find attached a boundary conditions file I used when I started evaluating a similar case (it was a synthetic channel my case with only one inlet and one outlet).

I hope this helps.

Best Regards,
José Andrés.

Hello,
Just a clarification to José comments. Sisyphe, for bedload transport does not impose zero solid discharge at inlets by default. It imposes the value of the equilibrium sediment discharge, computed from the chosen sediment transport formula (that by default is the Meyer-Peter and Mueller formula).

Cheers

Hello,

Thank you for your responses, I read the documentation about Sisyphe but still have some questions:
- Should I work my boundary conditions file to set a zero solid discharge ?
- The QBOR value is set to 0 in my .cli file (attached to this message), is that correct ?

Thanks for helping,
Cheers,

Bastien
