EXTREMELY high EROSION at the inflow boundary 5 years 1 month ago #34757

I have a problem with my model: There is an extremely high erosion at the inflow boundary.

I am working with a time-series of solid discharge for BED-LOAD (without suspended) ass a inflow boundary. But, in a short time it is possible to notice an erosion that, in my opinion, is physically impossible => Evolution > -70 (m) in 1 hour of simulation !!

Has anyone happened to this? How can I fix that ? Some parameter to correct this ?

Best regards.

usually something does not fit together in your boundary conditions. So I would check your solid discharge flux (probably too low) and / or your shear stress / velocities at the inlet (probably too high). Check also friction, critical Shields parameter and sediment diameter.
To avoid too much erosion at the inlet you could set a rigid bed to limit the erosion, but then you should be absolutely sure that your hydrodynamic and morphodynamic boundary conditions fit together!
