Good Morning

I would like to know what is the difference between MUD CONCENTRATION PER LAYER and CONCENTRATION PER CLASS AT BOUNDARIES in Sysiphe, I am performing a simulation with cohesive sediments. And also, exist a example case about sediment cohesive?.
If not, could you give some recomendation to model a sedimentation pit with sediment cohesive.

Thanks.

Hi,

CONCENTRATION PER CLASS AT BOUNDARIES refers to the concentration of suspended sediment in water (for each class of sediment) and on each prescribed boundary of your domain. see paragraphs 3.4.2, 3.5 and 4.4 of sisyphe user manual.

MUD CONCENTRATION PER LAYER refers to the concentration of (+ or - consolidated) mud inside the sediment mud bed for each vertical bed layer. It is linked to CRITICAL EROSION SHEAR STRESS OF THE MUD. see paragraph 6.3 of sisyphe user manual.

For instance, "bosse_vase" test case deals with cohesive sediments.

I hope it helps.

Regards,
Laurent
