To whom it may concern,
I am using the telemac3d couple with Gaia under V8p2r0.
I would like to revise the critical shear velocity for deposition.
I found that the keyword "CRITICAL SHEAR VELOCITY FOR MUD DEPOSITION" should be set, wrote in the user manual.
However, in the Gaia.dico file, the "CLASSES CRITICAL SHEAR STRESS FOR MUD DEPOSITION" instead of "CRITICAL SHEAR VELOCITY FOR MUD DEPOSITION".
Therefore, I would like to know that I should set the critical shear stress and it will automatically calculate the critical shear velocity by Telemac?

Hi Chen,
You are right. In Gaia you have to provide the keyword CLASSES CRITICAL SHEAR STRESS FOR MUD DEPOSITION to account for this variable. This has been modified from the traditional way in Sisyphe to avoid 'unit mixing issues'. Now critical values for deposition and erosion are both provided in terms of shear stresses.
Hope it helps,
Best wishes,
Pablo
