Hello all,
I am having difficulty in my sediment transport model, First I have tried only with bedload and the results od bed level change look reasonable. However, when I try with the suspended load using keyword " SUSPENSION FOR ALL SANDS = YES" too much sediment transport occurred in my 2days model simulation which does not make sense(22 m erosion). Please see the attached images showing the result of bed level change with only bedload and also with both bedload and suspended load.

I also attached my T2D and GAIA CAS files

Any help on this is very much appreciated!

Hi Sanaz,
please find below some tips:
- Launch a simulation only with suspended sediment transport only to see how your system behaves.
- Try another formula for the equilibrium concentration, ex. = 1
- Unless needed, remove unnecessary keywords, ex. SKIN FRICTION CORRECTION = 2
- Force the use of a numerical scheme, ex. SCHEMA POUR LA CONVECTION DES SEDIMENTS EN SUSPENSION = 13
- Last but not least, be aware that solving suspended sediment transport means the solution of an advection-diffusion equation, you'll probably need to reduce your time step...
Hope it helps,
Best wishes,
Pablo
