Hello,

I am facing the following problem:

I'd like to impose a time-dependent solid discharge on one model boundary in order to increase it from zero to the desired value. However, Gaia does recognize my bedload.liq file with the time-dependent values, but does not use it. Instead, it just uses the value red from the gaia.cli file and the simulation crashes shortly after, due to high deposition at the inlet.


My Gaia .cli file at the boundary looks sth. like this:

The "PRESCRIBED SOLID DISCHARGES : 1 " option is turned on, but as far as I understand, this value is arbitrary.


I attached all the necessary files for the simulation to this message.
I'd be very thankful for any kind of advice to help. (In a previous simulation everything worked and I did everything the same, so I am really confused why this does not work...)

Have you solved the problem? I have the same issue. Time-dependent solid discharge on inflow model boundary doesn't follow prescribed values. Gaia recognizes bedload.liq file with the time-dependent values, but does not use it - solid inflow is not constant, however it uses random values.

Good evening grak,
To make it work you should put a value (even arbitrary) in your steering file for the boundary that will change.
For instance in the first post there was 9 boundaries with variable solid discharges, so it should be written in the steering file something like that :
PRESCRIBED SOLID DISCHARGES = 0;0;0;0;0;0;0;0;0
I'm not an expert of coupling telemac-2d with Gaia, but I have tested it with the provided files and this solution seems to work.
