Hi,

I noticed the coefficient of the variable CENGEL (in subroutine bedload_engel.f) was changed from 0.1 to 0.05 in version V7P3 of SISYPHE and this was copied also to GAIA.

I see the confusion with the coefficient in the original Engelund and Hansen formula, but the coefficient of the CENGEL variable is not the same coefficient. In order to get the original Engelund and Hansen formula the coefficient of CENGEL needs to be changed back to 0.1.
At the moment all bedload tranport calculations using Engelund and Hansen formula underestimate the transport by a factor 2 because of this coefficient value change!

please check

best regards,
Sven

Hi Sven,

this is funny, today I found an email from Clemens where he also noticed this and I checked it with the original paper from Engelund. I am pretty sure that it must be 0.1 as you reported.

Best regards,
Rebekka

Hi all,

Thanks for this correction, Pablo also told me about this issue.
We will push as soon as possible the right coefficient.

Best regards,
Sara
