I am trying to have a special class of particles in Telemac2D-GAIA model, for which the processes of advection-diffusion, settling, deposition and erosion should apply but its mass/concentration values should not be used for the calculation of layer mass, thickness, bed evolution, bedload transport and in any subroutines where sediment bed mass is used for calculations. Also, I have to use 2 other regular sediment classes in the model (NCO;CO) for which these constraints doesn't apply.
My question is, is there a straightforward way to implement this? or does it need to be declared as a usual sediment class (NCO/CO) and then hardcoded in each gaia subroutine where I don't want them to be considered in the calculation?
Thank you and looking forward to your input.

Regards,
Nithin

Hello Nithin,

There is no a straightforward way to do what you are looking for. You should do “ad hoc” modifications in subroutines in order to have the desired behavior for your special class of particles.
