Hello!

I'm only a beginner using the Telemac suit, so sorry in advance if this question is obvious. I'm simulating sediment transport in a canal, and model is often getting unstable because of high mud deposition in some cells near the inlet boundary. I might be able to fix the root cause later, but for the moment I just want to prevent the model from crashing so I can keep familiarizing with the case.

My idea is to set "LAYER1 CONC" to a high value near the inlet, as to get small morphological evolution in that area. I thought it would be just a matter of specifying a field for that parameter on the SLF file, but GAIA seems to be ignoring it, picking uniform values either from the CAS file, or the built-in defaults.

So my concrete questions:

- Is GAIA supposed to read all parameters from the SLF file when they are available, or this is not an actual feature?

- If not, should I manipulate the field from a user fortran file, perhaps in a subroutine like USER_BED_INIT?

Thank you in advance for any tip!

Kind regards,

Nico
