Hello,
We have been working on a test case which is a bend, where we use secondary currents.
We use Telemac2d coupled with Sisyphe
Keyword SECONDARY CURRENTS = YES
Keyword SECONDARY CURRENTS ALPHA COEFFICIENT = varying values
The results are very strange (deposition at the entrance of the bend on the external side?), see image enclosed.
We tried different values of ALPHA (0.001 then 1 then 1000) and the results are exactly the same.
If secondary currents are turned off, the results are very similar, but except for a slight ripple-like pattern (0.00001 m of magnitude).
If we ask to output the value of variable ALPHA at the beginning of the subroutine bedload_seccurrents, we get the right value that has been entered in the steering file. So the subroutine is read and the value is good. But not the resulting secondary currents.
Does anyone have encountered that sort of problem with this subroutine? I have tried to go through the code but I am not sure that I understand exactly all the calculations.
And concerning the manual, the formula page 21 given the radius bend does not have the right dimension, is it a typing error or does that mean that the volumic mass rho should not actually be used?
Thank you for your help,
Caroline
