Hello,

I'm testing several Sediment transport models using SISYPHE (coupled with Telemac-2D/Telemac-3D). I've found the following problems during my tests.

1.Telemac-2D/Telemac-3D cannot recognize external files (FORMATTED DATA FILES and BINARY DATA FILES) while it's coupled with SISYPHE. I've solved this problem by adding extra lines to open files.

2.The results from SISYPHE always has 5 seconds lag compared with the result from TELEMAC-2D/TELEMAC-3D (not coupled with SISYPHE). To be more explicitly, if VELOCITY from TELEMAC has values at 00:10:00, QS SUSPENSION from SISYPHE has values at 00:09:55. Is it normal? Why does it has a 5 seconds lag?

3.There is no SUSPENSION-LOAD even the keyword SUSPENSION has been set to YES in the steering file. I tested another sediment transport model in which I hope to get BED-LOAD and SUSPENSION-LOAD. The steering files are attached below. However, the variables SUSP and SUSP_TEL are always FALSE. I don't know how to fix this.

Kind regards,
Qilong

Hi Qilong,
to read external files while coupling, you can add the following line to your fortran file
NFO1 = T3D_FILES(T3DFO1)%LU.
We will see the other points and we will back to you.

Best,

Pablo

Hello

Q2. Whay are you not coupling Telemac and Sisyphe? In this case you ought to have exactly the same period of time for both output files.

Q3. I believe this maybe related to the coupling period... We just corrected a bug recently in the call to sisyphe (from telemac). You would have either to update the Telemac subroutine or to change the coupling period ( > 1)

Best regards, Catherine

PS I also had a look at your Concentration and QS field and did not see any thing obviously wrong. The QS field also reflects the variation in depth, velocvities as well as variation in concentration. Qs = h U C

Thanks Cath!

Q2.I coupled Telemac and Sisyphe to run my model and I got three result files: SISRES, T3DHYD and T3DRES. The time step is 5 seconds and output period is 120 (120*5=600s). T3HYD and T3RES have values at 00:10:00, 00:20:00 and so on while SISRES has values at 00:09:55, 00:19:50 and so on. This is a little strange to me because I expect they should have values at same time...

Best regards,
Qilong
