I am trying to use Sisyphe and Telemac to investigate suspended sediment
flux from discrete sources along a channel system (along-channel
terraces and banks). I have developed an off-line method of computing
the entrainment of these lateral sediment sources which relates
concentrations to channel flow and now want to add the sediment at
particular nodes on a Telemac 2-D mesh. My understanding is that I need
to add this sediment along with flow (e.g., simulating a tributary).
How do I add just the sediment? Do I just use a very small value of
flow at that liquid boundary?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Dear Michael,
For suspended sediment, the concentration at your boundaries domain can be specified in the steering file through keyword CONCENTRATION PER CLASS AT BOUNDARIES. To avoid unwanted erosion or sedimentation at the entrance of the domain, it may be also convenient to use keyword EQUILIBRIUM INFLOW CONCENTRATION = YES to specify the value of the concentration at inflow, according to the choice of the REFERENCE CONCENTRATION FORMULA.

I hope it helps,

all the best,

Pablo
