Hi,

I would like to know if the available functionality of SISYPHE, coupled with Telemac2D, enables one to simulate lateral shift (migration) of a alluvial braided river in a decadal time scale without substantial programing effort.

Can it also account for bank erosion within the model domain and consider the eroded materials as an additional supply of sediment load?

Any clarification will be highly appreciated.

Cheers,

Joy

Dear Joy,
thanks for your post. Actually, at this moment we are working very hard within the framework of a collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh and the US Dept of Agriculture to try to incorporate this fascinating physical process.

At this moment we can't promise any date or something for the release of the first version of this implementation, but for sure, as soon as we will have some news we will post it on the forum.

Cheers,

Pablo
