Hi,
during the process of solving some problems with the sediment transport in my flushing cases I did some basic-test with the friction coefficients.
I coupled Telemac-2d with Sisyphe for only a few time steps (100) without bed roughness predictor.
First I found out that the RUGOSITE TOTALE (ks) given out by Sisyphe has a dependency on the water depth if I set KFROT =3 with BOTTOM FRICTION COEFFICIENT=35.

But this is not the case, if I set KFROT =5 with BOTTOM FRICTION COEFFICIENT=0.17 (which is equivalent to the other case). Also the value given in RUGOSITE TOTALE (ks) is not the same as specified in the steering file cas_tel.

I added the variable CHESTR for the printout and despite the fact that I set KFROT =5 with BOTTOM FRICTION COEFFICIENT=0.17 in cas_tel, Sisyphe gives me the default Strickler value back (in all nodes).
I checked the subroutines tob_sisyphe and coefro_sisyphe, but I did not find the reason.
Do I overlook something?

Best regards,
Gabi

Hi again,
unfortunately you cannot see the difference in the two results due similar colour in the upload.
I changed the legend. Please find attached the new ones. “Roughness 1” corresponds to Nikuradse, “Roughness 2” to Strickler.
