Dear all,

I try to use telemac/sisphe to simulate riverbed morphology with 'GRAIN-FEEDING = YES '

but after the set the 'GRAIN-FEEDING = YES ' , then how to set the grain feeding rate?? or which subroutine need to be used ??

I already checed all the use manual for SISYPHE, but can not found the solution ??

Is anybody has experience on it.

Best Regards

Hi

I'm not a specialist but I'm not sure there is other parameters for this function.
It only depends of the different class of sediments.

Hope someone could confirm this

Thank you very much.

I do found a parameters 'prescribed solid discharge', But it is looks not working at all.

I read the following paper, the paper mentioned the SISYPHE has this fuction (grain-feeding).

File Attachment:

File Name: 3.pdf
File Size: 1,866 KB

So Maybe I missed something in SISYPHE.

Dear Harryyao,
the keyword GRAIN-FEEDING is obsolete and must not be used anymore.
Your problem is probably related to the use of the keywords:
PRESCRIBED SOLID DISCHARGES (for bedload transport) or
CONCENTRATION PER CLASS AT BOUNDARIES (for suspended load).
For both cases, you can specify the sediment flux at a domain boundary condition (at inflow, for example).

I hope it helps,

Pablo

Thank you so much for this useful information.

I set it both keywords, PRESCRIBED SOLID DISCHARGES, CONCENTRATION PER CLASS AT BOUNDARIES.

but found that, the riverbed deformation is no difference than with out set it.

I will try it again and upload the figure in here later.

Dear Pablo,

I have tried the PRESCRIBED SOLID DISCHARGES (for bedload transport) and
CONCENTRATION PER CLASS AT BOUNDARIES (for suspended load).

and I found the simulation result has no difference than without set it.

In my model, I set 3 layers. For PRESCRIBED SOLID DISCHARGES (for bedload transport), I add 1 values for bedload transport. and add 3 values for suspended load.

I don't know what I am set is right or not ?

In this case, Another problem rise up. How to set the bedload transport sediment garding curves ? Because the different sediment input will have different simulation results.

I am really looking forward your feedback.

With best regards

Dear Harry,
I think that something is wrong with your boundary conditions file.
I'd like to take a look to your model to see what's going on. Please send me an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. All the best,

Dear Pablo,

Thank you so much.
I will prepare the model with as much detail as possible and forward to you.

Best Regards
Harry
