Hi, everyone
I wonder if there are some examples simulate both cohesive and non-cohesive sediment?
I have some questions about simulating both cohesive and non-cohesive sediment.

1.What is the difference between MEAN DIAMETER OF THE SEDIMENT and SEDIMENT DIAMETERS? The sisyphe.dico shows they have same meaning: Sets value of diameter dm for particular size class

2.If I have both cohesive sediment and non-cohesive sediment, the keyword COHESIVE SEDIMENTS =YES or NO?

3. SUSPENSION = NON, default value. If this keyword should be activated when I compute the suspension of cohesive sediment?

Dear zqzuoan,
thanks for your post. Please find below the answers to your questions:

1.What is the difference between MEAN DIAMETER OF THE SEDIMENT and SEDIMENT DIAMETERS? The sisyphe.dico shows they have same meaning: Sets value of diameter dm for particular size class

Use SEDIMENT DIAMETERS. The keyword MEAN DIAMETER OF THE SEDIMENT is obsolete and will be deleted/

2.If I have both cohesive sediment and non-cohesive sediment, the keyword COHESIVE SEDIMENTS =YES or NO?

It seems you are dealing with mixed sediment. You must therefore activate the keyword MIXED SEDIMENT = YES. The keyword COHESIVE SEDIMENTS must be set to NO

3. SUSPENSION = NON, default value. If this keyword should be activated when I compute the suspension of cohesive sediment?

Add SUSPENSION = YES.

At this moment we are working on the improvement of the treatment of mixed sediments. As soon as we have some test cases and new files we will let you know.

I hope it helps

Dear Pablo,
Thank you very much. I think information about sisyphe is imperfect. Hope for more detailed mannuals.

Best Regards

Dear Pablo,
May I ask you a question? I want to compute the bedload of non-cohesive sediment(without suspended load) and the suspension of cohesive sediment. The keyword SUSPENSION should be acatived or not?

Dear zqzuoan,
yes, for this case you need to activate both bedload and suspended load keywords to YES.

Kind regards,

Pablo
