Dear all,
I am a new user of Telemac, and I want to simulate the wave conditions in an area of interest. As mentioned in the title the simulation does not start as I get the following error "Segmentation fault - invalid memory reference".I have the already existent topics in the forum for this kind of errors and I realise that the problem with the elements arround the mesh does not apply for my situtation as they are 8 which are less than 10.I am attaching my .cas file and the screen with the error in hope that you can help me solve this
Thank you very much,
Andreas

Hi
Did you try to run a tomawac test case?
If yes, is the run OK?
If yes this mean you probably have a problem with your own fortran file...

Try to join it also in order to let us check

Regards
Christophe

Apparently it is a problem with your boundary condition. The node number 372 is mentioned twice (as a global number) in your file final_mesh_BC.cli

If you look at your mesh (for example with janet) you will see that your mesh is made of 2 component linked by one node (n° 372) and that is not allowed in tomawac

well i said janet (on janet you import your mesh by load layer) but you can see it with any reader of mesh (for example fuda). As you will see in the red circle, there is a point in your mesh that is not allowed .

Thierry

As you suggested that was indeed the problem,I refined the mesh and the element failure was corrected.Thank you very much for the assistance!

Kind regards,
Andreas

Hello,
I've been trying to be more presice with the coastline (e.g. include some groynes and ports) in order to see the wave climate nearshore. However I get the same segmentation fault and my guess is that there is a problem again with my mesh.Could you help me locate it if possible please?Thank you for your assistance.

Kind regards,Andreas
