Hi

I am imposing boundary conditions on my model via a modification to limwac.f which reads FORMATTED FILE 1 which is currently a txt file. However I have now reduced my time step and thus increased the number of boundary conditions. If I give a file to BINARY FILE 1 instead of FORMATTED FILE 1 will limwac.f then read the data from there? If this is correct which type of binary file formats are valid assignments to BINARY FILE 1? Alternatively is it possible to give TOMAWAC my boundary conditions just at the times I have observations and for TOMAWAC to interpolate to the other time steps as in TELEMAC 2D?

Cheers

Hello,

sorry for the (long) delay of the answer.
In this previous post I wrote in detail the approach that can be undertaken to set time-varying boundary conditions (the interpolation of the input data at the TOMAWAC time steps is also described).
Concerning your question about the binary file, you can have a look at the chapter 7.3 of the TOMAWAC guide, that describes the type of binary file that are read by TOMAWAC. Remark/suggestion: the SERAPHIN format is also a binary file.

Hope it helps.
Kind regards,

Giovanni
