Hello, Good morning,
I'm a new user of Tomawac and do comparisons result with Mike SW used as below:
- a square in which on side (west) is prescribed boundary condition with significant wave height=6.5, spectral peak period=9.334, mean wave direction=270. And directional standard deviation=0 and other three side are all free boundaries condition.
- The wave propagation is along east and spectral discretization: number of frequencies=25, minimum frequency=0.055 and frequency factor=1.1.
-Wind forcing speed=40 and direction=270
- The bottom friction using Nikuradse roughness constant=0.04.
- White capping dissipation coefficient Cdis=4.5 and white capping dissipation coefficient Deltadis=0.5. (The Cdis coefficient is a proportional factor on the white capping dissipation source function and thus control the overall dissipation rate. The DELTAdis coefficient is controlling the weight of dissipation in the energy/action spectrum. )
- Wave breaking: gamma data=0.8 and Alpha=1.
- initial condition use jonswap fetch groeth expression: SIGMA-A=0.07, SIGMA-B=0.09, Peakness parameter=3.3, and wave initial condition: MAXIMUM PEAK FREQUENCY =0.4, maximum PHILLIPS CONSTANT=0.0081 and maximum FETCH length=100000.
My results are not right and two Mike SW figures attached for comparison (the mean wave direction and significant wave height).
I am hoping someone could offer some advice and thanks. The all files attached.
Best regards,
zheng
