Hi,

I have found that Tomawac lacks the option to output wave direction as vectors. I am aware of this post processing method to obtain them as described in this post (#9098).

However, I find that vector fields are a very useful means of visualizing wave shoaling and lately, evaluating the performance of the wave diffraction option. It would be a time saver to have this option without post processing.

If other users find as useful maybe you could add it in a future release. :cheer:

Many thanks,
Costas

Hello,

thank you for your post. We will take your demand into account. However, as it takes less than 2 minutes to do the post-processing with fudaa I don't personnaly think this is one of the most urgent option to add to Tomawac.

Best regards,

Elodie

Hi Elodie,

Thank you for your interest! I personally took up Blue Kenue right from the start and I rely on fudaa only for the steering file preparation. Switching between 2 post-processors is a bit messy.

Of course, I anticipate a lot more development on the diffraction routines, which I find very interesting and test rigorously at the moment. I wouldn't want it to get in the way!

Best Regards,
Costas

Hi Costas,

The FUDAA method described in post (#9098) works in Blue Kenue as well. Use the calculator to compute the components and "Tools->Create Vector Field" to create the result.
