Hi, I have problems trying to run large domains in Tomawac, while the test simulations and smaller ones run perfectly.

The exit error message is :

APPEL DE INBIEF

Is there any place in the code where some parameters could be modified to allow very large domains?

Elodie	Hello, can you tell me what is the number of mesh nodes in your domain? Which version of Tomawac do you use? Do you run it in parallel? Regards, Elodie

I have the v6p2 tomawac version.

The simulation that runs is the one with 6836 nodes.

A larger simulation of 11744 nodes with the same configuration gives me the above error.

I'm having some problems executing in parallel, both of the mentioned simulations fail when I try to parallelize, but in different steps. Now I'm trying to recompile the libraries in another machine to see if the error reproduces.

Elodie	I am not surprised you have problems with the parallel mode of the current (6.2) version of Tomawac. These recurrent problems, especially for large areas, pushed us to redo all the parallelism of Tomawac. The next release of Tomawac (v6.3) will fully work in parallel : this version will be available at the end of August. Regards, Elodie

mbravob	I've tried the new tomawac v6p3 version. The error reproduces compiling with gfortran and ifortran, in parallel and single processor alike. I've tracked the source of the problem to the "elebd" subroutine in BIEF. Any ideas of what could be causing the problem would be helpful. Thanks.

jmhervouet	Hello, Though your number of points is not very large, it could be a memory error if you ask for too many angles and frequencies. A hint would be that it works if you reduce these numbers. Otherwise we would need to have the case to test it and understand what happens. Regards, Jean-Michel Hervouet
