I copy these required files into the path "C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v8p1r0\scripts\python3". what's wrong?

As I already wrote it, your python association for .py file is problematic.

Run all telemac python scripts with the full script
python c:\opentelemac-mascaret\v8p1r0\scripts\python3\telemac2d.py t2d_friction.cas

You could make a search in the forum where this problem as already been discussed and where a solution was indicated. The solution needs register modification...

thanks to your guidance and I have succeeded in running the example cases. The python is the key problem as you said
Next I wish to extract the telemac-2d part and integrated this part into a flood forecasting platform. Which IDE is preferable for the secondary development? My operation system is Windows10, not Linux. Is Visual Studio Code OK?

What do you plan to use exactly in Telemac in your flood forecasting platform?
In the telemac system, it's now possible to compile also an API version of each module. Maybe it's interesting for you to use the API. In such case, you just have to link the API in your system and the IDE choice is not related to Telemac...

I with to do some modificaiton in source codes and build a new project. As I mentioned, I wish to use an IDE to build the codes and debug, track the code running. I can only modify the code again and again, and compile them using the python scripts, print the output step by step to find out the problems. So I wish to get an IDE to compile the code and build the project. Have you got any suggestions about the IDE, on Windows?

I have a question on the same subject.

I tried to install then compile TELEMAC on Win 10, but I didn't succed.
First, I have installed a fortran compiler as speficied in this link (wiki.opentelemac.org/doku.php?id=prerequisites:fortran). I have downloaded the version 10.1.0 and it seems to work.

Then I have installed TELEMAC. Everything was ok in the manual installation until I run compileTELEMAC.py.

It stops and the following message appared :

I don't know what to do to make it work !

You should install the latest release, currently v8p1r1 or the trunk, in particular using Python 3.
Otherwise, there are no assistance for older releases (v7p2 was tagged a little bit less than 4 years ago!
