TOPIC: Missing libraries during linking (g95)

Missing libraries during linking (g95) 13 years 4 days ago #3087

Hi

I have a problem when compiling, it searches for library files (like biefv6p1.lib) but these files do not exist. I am not a user, just a sys admin and I have to deploy this software on 10 PCs, so I do not really know this software well.

Did I miss something during installation or files to compile?

Hi
Did you have a look on the installation procedure of Telemac?
You mention you try to compile but at which step?
If this is during a telemac run taht means you never compiled the telemac system.
If you havesuch messages during the compilation of telemac that means you try to compile the system in a bad order. You should start to compile libraries (damocles, mumpsvoid, parallel, paravoid, special and bief) before the programs (tomawac, sisyphe, telemac2d and 3d and artemis)

Hope this helps

Hi,

I downloaded the Telemac binaries (wing95s_v6p1), but I am wondering why theses files are missing during project execution. I followed the installation guide and everything seems good, except these missing libs...
Does someone use the g95 compiler? Do you have these library files?

Hi
If you downloaded these libraries, check the existence in each subdirectories.
For example in bief\bief_v6p1\wing95s.

If the libraries are missing during the execution (in fact the compialtion step of the execution) you will probably have a problem of configuration.

Maybe you could post the copy of the execution. i'm quite sure the program doesn't look at the right place to find those libraries.

Hope this helps

Hi
It seems the program is looking at the right place for the libraries.
Did you check each location?
For example, what is the listing of C:\opentelemac\bief\bief_v6p1\wing95s directory?

Hi,

I checked every folder where it searches for libs, and there only are xxxxx.o files.
I really do not understand... Which software was supposed to provide these libs?

Hi
In each directory of the telemac installation, you should find a sources subdirectory where are located the .f files and also after compilation the .o or .obj files.
During the compilation there is also a step that generate the libraries which are moved into the wing95s subdirectory. At the same location you should also find the result of the linking step of the compilation which are the default version of the executable programs (telemac2d, telemac3d ...)

Maybe you could join a copy of the list files of your telemac instalation ...

Hope this helps

Hi,

I only have the files included in wing95s_v6p1.zip : .o and .mod files in bief/bief_v6p1/wing95s/, no lib file.
I took the compiled version, but I am wondering if it was a good idea, or maybe I missed something, do I have to do something special after the installation of g95 in the telemac folder? Like a compilation, even if it is tthe compiled version?
