open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello,

I have a model which only runs with telemac v5p9. This version is installed on my computer. I works on scalar mode. I would like to run it on a parallel mode. I have installed mpich2 and I got 'SUCCESS' whis the command "mpiexec -validate".
But when I run my cas, the calcul stops at :

*** MPI MACHINE ***
MPI machine ok (with 2 processors).
_______________________________________________________
*** RUNNING ***

MPI launcher : mpiexec -localonly 2 out5220_win.exe



Nothing happens after. Any idea ?

Hello,

Telemac version 5.9 was a commercial software, there could be a protection against copy that prevents running in parallel (depending on who did the initial installation).

In the directory 'parallel', there are the axecutable files partel.exe, diffsel.exe, gretel.exe. How can I know if the problem is due to this ?
I think indeed that this installation has been copied from my former computer.

Is it possible to recover this version, compiled or only the source codes ?

This is something to ask to the original distributor. However it would be much better to install the latest version 6.2.
