open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello, I'm new to TELEMAC and I really need some help.
I'm on windowsXP and i have some problem installing TELEMAC.
I'm using Python 2.7.3 as recommended and I tried using gfortran.

However it seems that i have some problems with my gfortran compiler. I installed it using the self-installed unofficial build I found here : gcc.gnu.org/wiki/GFortranBinaries

When compiling I always end up with the screenshot in attachements.

You can also check my config if you find anything wrong with it.

As for my variables :
PATH : C:\gfortran\bin
LIBRARY_PATH : C:\gfortran\lib\gcc\mingw32\4.8.0;C:\gfortran\lib

Hi,

Your screenshot doesn't show any error. "My work is done" means that compilation is done, maybe with error but it's not obvious.

Did you try to run a case ?

There is an error saying in french : "renommé les specs lib à liborig"
In english it's "rename spec lib to liborig"

I don't know what it means. I found the same error in other topic of the forum but I can't seem to resolve my case.

Also my compiling is finished in 2 minutes. So there is definitely a problem.

I get the same error when compiling with GFortran but everything works smoothly. Try to run a validation case.

I tried to launch some validation cases. I was surprised but it seems to work since it returns "my work is done".
I still have a problem with the case 060_init_1. It returns this :
runcode::main:
C:\opentelemac\v6p2\telemac2d\tel2d_v6p2\validation\060_init_1:
uncontroled error from python:: KeyError('DE SORTIE LISTING',)

I'm still a bit worried because I don't know for sure if validation cases are correctly compiled. And when I first compiled TELEMAC, it spent at most 15 min. I heard most have to wait more than 30min to compile.

Maybe you can have a look at the date of creation (or modification) of your .exe file.

2 minutes looks fast but maybe it took more time on your first attempt.
If telemac has already been succesfully compiled, updating is fast.
(update: which trigger the action (here compilation) only to update the parts that are necessary.)


For your problem about 060_init_1, it looks like "PERIODE" has been removed from your steering file. You should check if it is "DE SORTIE LISTING" or "PERIODE DE SORTIE LISTING".

That is right, it took more time the first time but it was still rather fast.

I resolved my problem with 060_init_1. I checked the cas file in the SVN repository and it seems my file was different. I still dont know why.
I changed it and now it is working.
