TOPIC: output file at defined points (telemac3d)

output file at defined points (telemac3d) 4 years 3 weeks ago #37029

Hello,
I encounter a problem of slowness of my computer when opening my results files (selafin). This seems normal because the files are large.
As I calibrate and validate my model in a few points (3 points), I would like to have in addition to my output result files a specific result file for the calibration points of my model. This will allow me to use my smaller output file for calibration.
Best regards.

Yann

Hello Yann,

You can do this by implementing your own treatment during the TELEMAC-3D computation (e.g.: have a look at the USER_UTIMP subroutine of the user_fortran folder of the malpasset example).

Another solution with post-treatment is to use the new postel module (Python scripts) and have a look at the notebooks: jupyter-notebook index.ipynb
run in $HOMETEL/notebooks folder
e.g. Read/write from/to a csv file link.

To my point of view, the convenient solution is to use the extract.py Python script, only available with the trunk release (and soon available in future release v8p2 that is to be tagged in 1 week).
Try extract.py timeseries -h
But you can download the trunk release, see:
www.opentelemac.org/index.php/sources-svn

Hope this helps,
