Hello,

I found that if I set LAW OF BOTTOM FRICTION = 5 and FRICTION COEFFICIENT FOR THE BOTTOM.Then the friction velocity was come out from subroutine TFOND.f.
RUGOF(N) is the value equal to FRICTION COEFFICIENT FOR THE BOTTOM.

However,i am curious if I set LAW OF BOTTOM FRICTION as Chezy or Strickler then the friction velocity still calculate in TFOND.f?
if it is not then which fortran file should I look into?

Furthemore,how to compute U2D and V2D in telemac3d?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

In TELEMAC-3D, the friction coefficient is computed in the COEFRO subroutine.

Hope this helps,

thanks for your reply.
COEFRO.f output CF then take into TFOND.f to compute FRICTION VELOCITY?

Hello,

I think I understand your question at last. Yes, the friction velocity is computed in TFOND subroutine, from depth-averaged velocity components.

Hope this helps,
