TOPIC: Prescribe U and V at a given depth (file) CMEMS

Prescribe U and V at a given depth (file) CMEMS 3 years 7 months ago #38065

Hello,

Currently, I am experiencing a problem with prescribing velocities (UV) at certain knots on my downstream boundary. My ocean velocity data at a definite depth (CMEMS) varies with time and space (knots). I need your help on how to impose these velocities at downstream nodes separately from water depths. My submission is the lack of knowledge of python coding because from the research I have done, I also need to modify my Bord.f file.

Thanks for your help

Hello Yann,

Can you clarify your question please because I do not undestand your issue or what you want to know/implement?

When you write knot, you mean node? A point of your mesh?

Hello Pham,

Thank you for your answer.
My question is how to prescribe my velocities (UV) extracted from the global CMEMS model to the entry point of my downstream model.
Also, when I write node, I mean mesh point.

Thanks for your support.

Hello Yann,

I do not know the format of the velocities you get from CMEMS. But you can look at what is done in the BORD3D subroutine when LIUBOL%I(K) is equal to KENTU.

Hope this helps,
