Hello,
I use TELEMAC 3D to model cohesive sediments. To cancel the erosion at the beginning that I observe in a place of my study area, I called noerod.f in order to define ZR=ZF (ZR: elevation of the non-erodible bottom, ZF: elevation of the bottom).
My problem is that after calling noerod.f, I have nothing happening; no erosion and no deposition, except for the sediment that comes in from the rivers. When I cancel the reading of noerod.f everything goes well still with a strong erosion at the start.
Please help me to understand what could be the reason of the problem with the reading of the fortran file (noerod.f).

Dear Yann,

I guess that you define ZR=ZF for all nodes of your model. This would explain that you will have no ersion unless you had some deposition before. If you only want to stabilize the inlet boundary you have to set ZR=ZF for nodes near the inlet boundary and ZR=ZF-100 (or similar value) for all the other nodes.

Thank you for your answer.
Sorry for my late reply, I was off work.
Would like to initialize my whole domain without sediment at the bottom. And for this I use the attached noerod_estuary_2 code. But the result obtained shows no movement of erosion and deposition during the whole simulation time except the entries by the boundaries (rivers) of sediments.
Having no knowledge of fortran programming, Rebekka, how exactly to stabilize the input boundary by defining ZR = ZF.
Also still in solving my problem from the forum examples in creating the NOER in the geometric file. My fortran noerod_estuary_2 file refuses to be compiled.
