Hello Telemac fellows,

I'm wondering is it possible to use the option for the treatment of the tidal flat = 1 for the hydrodynamics (negative depth method without masking), but only do the masking for dry elements on tidal flats while solving the tracers?

I noticed that MASK3D can perform the masking, does it mean that I could call this subroutine before CVDF3D for certain tracers to achieve this goal? Or it's more complicated than that?

Hello Qilong,

It is not a standard treatment of TELEMAC-3D as you may know. You can try to implement it by yourself but I do not think it will be easy.

You will have to manage operation of masking and everything is not currently implemented, in particular for parallelism, but also operations for matrices with masking.

Anyway, masking and mass-conservation is not easy and may be an issue.
