Hi every body,

I did successfully run a simulation in T3D with TPXO, now for my calibration i see this result, in blue measurements and in red the simulation

CALAGEMEASBLEUECALCRED.png

as you can see there is a good match between both values but only if I use 2 different scales, in fact simulation's values are lower of (nearly) 1 m than the measurements.
here my steering file

File Attachment:

File Name: CAS_TG_SP_200M566T4100M_ke.txt
File Size: 6 KB

I need to calculate RMSE/RMAE, correlation coefficient and determination coefficient, I think I need the same scale.

how can I fix it please?

thanks

Josias

Hi
Seems you forgot to define the Mean Sea Level which is 0 by default and should be more 1 according to your measurements

Hope this helps

hi everybody, hi c. coulet,

thanks c. coulet, it did work perfectly

Sorry for asking this question but why do I need to calibrate the Mean Sea Level, I did think satellites are already calibrated. Also tide gauges are already calibrated too. I ask because I didn't find in the literature something to substantiate the use of 1 for the MSL.

THANKS

Hi
Tide gauges are placed at a fix level often according to absolute altimetry.
Sometimes the 0 is refered to LAT and then MSL is higher...
Satellites are calibrated on Tide gauges...
This kind of info should be available for tide gauges.
In France, there is an official document which describes the different values for each official tide gaude.
Some info could be found on University of Hawai Sea Level Center

Hope this helps
