Hello everyone,

I'm diong a 3D simulation to coupled TELEMAC3D with GAIA. I can obtain good results only using telemac3d, but when I coupled it with Gaia, it always stop and show as attached. The Gaia steering file was modified based on Rouse-3d case. Please give me some suggestions. Thank you in advance. The files are attached.

It appears there's no sediment mass in your domain. GAIA has thus nothing to move and this could be the source of your problem.

Hi cyamin,

Thank you very much for your reply.
I guess it because I set the "initial suspended sediments concentration value" as 0, it prints out "total mass of class 1 equal to 0". I use the key words "PRESCRIBED SUSPENDED SEDIMENTS CONCENTRATION VALUES" to define the boundary condition and bring sediments into the domain, but it doesn't work.

Hello Ding,

If the TELEMAC-3D hydrodynamic model is OK but not when coupling with GAIA, your post should be written in the GAIA section I think.

Anyway, looking quickly to your GAIA steering file, you use:
SCHEME FOR ADVECTION OF SUSPENDED SEDIMENTS = 5
and
SCHEME OPTION FOR ADVECTION OF SUSPENDED SEDIMENTS = 2
which means you have chosen 2nd order Predictor-Corrector advection scheme which does not work with dry areas. If you have dry areas, that may lead to your error message. You can try to change the advection scheme (e.g. LIPS or NERD).

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan
