Hello,

I would be interested in modeling the sediment Plume behavior in a coastal Bay with Telemac (2D or 3D). We will need to model the dispersion of particles from an hydraulic dredge (emission from the ocean bottom) and from a clam (uniformly distributed over the water column). I have read SEDPLUME could be used with TELEMAC. Is SEDPLUME is distributed? Is there any other module that can be used with TELEMAC. The dredging planned is very contaminated sediments.

SEDPLUME-3D*
This is a particle tracking module used mainly for dredging
related applications including the dispersion of suspended
sediments during dredging and disposal operations.
In SEDPLUME, particles are released during a model run, either
at the surface or throughout the water column, and then a
random walk algorithm is used to represent the dispersal of
the particles, according to local flow conditions derived using
TELEMAC.

Bonjour Steve,

Indeed, we have SEDPLUME-3D and are using it a lot in dredging studies, etc. in combination with TELEMAC-3D.

I will get the reponsible group to talk to you directly, outside this forum, early next week.

Kind regards,

Sébatsien

Hello,

As Steve, I would be interested in using this type of model to follow the fate of biodeposition matter in my estuary.
Martin Serrer introduces me 'PSed' but as it is part of BlueKenue I can't really tune it for my application.

I would be happy to know more about SEDPLUME3D.

Best regards.

Alexis

Hi there,

I planning to do the sediment plume study for a sand mining project. I am wondering if TELEMAC 3D can do this? or anywhere can get this SEDIPLUME 3D model?

Thanks in advance.
