Hi,

I would like to extract vertical cross-sections out of the TELEMAC-3D result file for the purpose of inputting into Matlab. Is there any way to extract velocity values in numerical format (or alternative solution) from TELEMAC?

Thank you.

Hi,
As far as I understood Matlab toolbox reads tel3d headers, but you cannot select which layer you want to extract (and plot).

With Fudaa one can extract values from all the layers along the line or at the given points. This is ok as long as your layers have fixed horizontal levels. The problem is when you use mesh transformations, you need to interpolate your extracted results in order to get values at fixed horizontal levels.

Marcin.
