open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Dear All,

I was wondering if somebody has worked on coupling of Telemac3D/2D with simplistic water quality model like implementing just two state variable DO-BOD model.

I want to do some thing like that any hints will be greatly appreciated.

No, actually we use Delwaq which is free for Telemac users. We now plan to implement Delwaq models directly into Telemac, in collaboration with Delft colleagues, but it will take some time.

I understand Delwaq is not downloadable from Telemac website and I guess it's not free for gneral users like me right ?

Also I wanted to ask some thing like DO-BOD model should be implementable in Telemac3d by making changes in sources_sinks.f right?

Indeed, having the whole of the TELEMAC source code it is possible for anyone to code your own to model.

I would advise you start with my answer to another post (more than year ago) explaining in detail how to code a simple "decay rate" formulation using either implicit or explicit sources/sinks. Please read through and make sure you understand the difference between implici and explicit.
