Good Day!

I am a student and currently doing a research on perforated pile breakwater. I have the lab data of waves transmission through porous vertical cylinders at different porosity values, wave heights and wave period. I need to model the wave through the porous media and look into how these waves move through this cylinder gets dissipated and attenuated on the leewards side.

I was wondering if Telemac3D can perform this solution? ( Because I did ask about other software, they say their software cannot perform this solution.)

Thanks for helping me! appreciate a lot ! ;)

Hello,

It could be just a little tricky with TELEMAC-3D as we do not yet have porosity for instance. That is not to say it is impossible. It would just require a little bit of development and validation.

However, you may have more luck under the ARTEMIS topic, as we ourselves do waves transmission across structures, piles, jetties, etc with this module rather. Can you post the same message there too?

Thank you.

Sébastien.
