I am getting the following message when I tried to 'hotstart' the model using SCHEME FOR ADVECTION OF VELOCITIES = 14 in my steering file.

ERROR ON THE MASS DURING THIS TIME STEP : NaN

FLUX BOUNDARY 2: NaN M3/S ( >0 : ENTERING <0 : EXITING )
FLUX BOUNDARY 3: NaN M3/S ( >0 : ENTERING <0 : EXITING )

When I switch the scheme to '1', the model runs fine.

The previous computation file was generated using SCHEME FOR ADVECTION OF VELOCITIES = 14 and has VARIABLES FOR 3D GRAPHIC PRINTOUTS = 'Z,U,V,W'

Should I be storing other variables in order for the hotstart to work involving SCHEME FOR ADVECTION OF VELOCITIES = 14?

It could be a bug of mine. You can try to use the new restart procedure (see the feature log at the bottom of the home page of this site) with an extra file that ensures equality of all digits, and in the while I'll try to reproduce the case here. If I can't I'll ask you your files.

I could reproduce your problem on a simple case. Enclosed is a correction in the subroutine telemac3d.f. Actually in your case a variable FLULIM has to be initialised before the first call to PRECON, and I also moved the first copy of tracers TA on tracers TAN from after the call to CONDIM to after the second call to BIEF_SUITE.
