Hello,
I remember that you had some problems with the wave set-down : did you manage to solve them?
Did you modify the wave breaking parameters in TOMAWAC to affect your wave set-down and did this lead to these higher values of the significant wave height? The high values of Hs are they obtained only close to the shore or is it a global problem in your model?
In Tomawac, to modify the Hs values, you can try to modify the wind generation model if you have wind generation but I assume this is not the case here. The other way is to change the wave dissipation parameters. The dissipations processes are caused by whitecapping dissipation (there are two models for whitecapping dissipation in Tomawac), bottom friction-induced dissipation (you can try to modify the BOTTOM FRICTION COEFFICIENT in your
steering file), dissipation through bathymetric breaking (I assume you already calibrated it to have a better wave set-down estimate) or dissipation through wave blocking due to strong opposing currents (this dissipation process is not included in the current version of Tomawac, but we are currently working on it).
